I've recently upgraded my setup with a pair of Pioneer CDJ900s. As well as playing CDs / MP3s, I also use the 900s to control Traktor Pro in conjunction with my Novation Launchpad and Nocturn. Finally, all of this runs through my beloved Korg Kaoss mixer & Mackie 802VLZ3 mixer to my equally beloved Behringer Truth monitors. This has proven to be a really flexible setup thaat enables me to seamlessly switch between formats when mixing and also offers ample routing options for the outputs. I also use a Novation NIO2/4 USB audio interface on my laptop during my internet broadcasts. Driving, uplifting, hands-in-the-air Psy Trance, Booty shaking Tech House / Electro and sublime Progressive / Uplifting Trance. I ;started DJing in 99, playing tracks by Astral Projection, Man With No Name, Hallucinogen and Cosmosis. I started recording mixes soon after and eventually earned a set at a DJ competition held by North Wales Legend Elevate in 2001 (which also featured Radio 1's Kutski). I loved every minute of my half hour set and, over the next few years, played regularly at local nights Sector 41 and Squeeze. As the dance scene lost momentum and nights began to shut down I went back to just mixing for fun, occasionally producing mix CDs for friends. I decided it was time to get back out into the clubs in 2009; fueled by the new Full On Psy Trance productions of Aquatica, Alien Project, Space Cat, Krunch and Dino Psaras, I produced my first Psychedelic Trancemission mix in May for a local promoter. The mix was also played on the North Wales Rave Never Dies internet music channel where it received an overwhelmingly positive response! Since then I've been very fortunate to meet some extremely talented local DJs who have inspired me to work to iIn mprove my mixes. I played my first gig in 6 years in November of 2009 at the Happy Faces - Psychedelic Cyber event in Colwyn Bay. I had an increadible time and quite literally hit the roof at one point! After playing at a couple of subsequent Happy Faces nights I was extremely fortunate to be offered a residency in Febuary 2010. I also hold a weekly Sunday night residency on the North Wales Rave Never Dies Channel where I play a mixture of Progressive, Uplifting and Psy Trance to a global audience. These broadcasts have proven to me that music really can bring people together :-) I feel extremely priviledged to be able to share the music I love with people all over the world, and to have the chance to play alongside and learn from some amazing DJs. 2010 looks like being an amazing year!! :-) The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Pendulum, Astral Projection, Cosmosis, Nick Sentience, Alien Project, Aquatica, Vibrasphere, Perfect Stranger, John 00 Flemming and numerous others!!
